Outdoor Living in the Colder Months
Nov 08, 2017
One of our favorite parts of living in Captain's Cove is that there's always something to do outdoors, like fishing, birding, hiking and more. Outside time doesn't stop when it gets cold outside, so we've rounded up some of our favorite ways to get your outdoor living area ready for fall, winter and beyond.
Make your outdoor space cozy by adding a rug to your porch, and plenty of seating covered with pillows and throw blankets.
Make it festive
Make your porch a place you'll really want to spend time by dressing it up for the holidays! Start will autumn wreaths, faux pumpkins, corn husks and more with these fall porch decorating ideas, and bookmark these holiday decorating ideas for next month!
Make the space feel warmer and more inviting with plenty of candles and soft, low lighting.
Drink in the warmth
Stay warm with a hot, seasonal drink like hot apple cider, white hot chocolate, hot mulled wine and more. See some of our favorite recipes here.
Add some life to your porch, even in the colder months. Check out this list of cold-loving plants that will last all winter long!
When it gets too cold and the blankets just aren't cutting it, add a fire feature! Get a chiminea, fire table or even make your own fire pit. See how here.
